Kim Vu
President | Editor-in-Chief
Kim is defined by a gargantuan, insatiable greed for indulging in the arts. Ironically, words alone can’t encapsulate the entirety of Kim's career in both art and literature. It would save time to list the mediums she hasn’t gotten to explore yet, like music and song-writing. And even with her uniquely diverse background in the creative arts, she fears that creating with her own two hands won’t be enough (whatever that means). So, she spends her free time lazily reading on Ao3 or scrolling through what other artists post online instead.
Duong Khuu

One must exercise great patience when talking to Duong, for she is still in the process of learning how to hold complex thoughts. The same goes for her creative work; they can be confusing and (figuratively) stinky to read at times, but she asks that you don’t give up on deciphering their meanings. Lastly, she would be ecstatic to receive song recommendations from you because her current playlist is starting to lose its kicks :(

Crystal didn't like writing as she was growing up. All she saw was a blob of neat writing. Thus, as she grew up, she ignored writing until she came across it again... in a class assignment. Afterwards, just like magic, she learned to love writing. And so, for a time, writing was her most loved hobby, but then ice skating came along and won the title.

Kate has been diagnosed with writer's block ever since she entered her first writing contest back in eighth grade (with a piece about a man who ate his pet!). She has been learning to live with this condition for the past two years, and will eventually, hopefully, learn to accept that she shouldn't write only when "inspiration strikes her." That is okay though! Her trusty antidote - the satisfaction of breathing life into ink and keys - aids her in her neverending battle against writer's block.

My name is Yuanhao Li and I am one of the Graphic Designers for The Arras Periodical. I enjoy drawing and experimenting with all forms of art as well as writing about things I am passionate about. One fun fact about me is that I really enjoy reading manga/manhwa!
Jeslyn Nguyen
Publicist | Writer
Jeslyn has been obsessed with the semantics and decisive diction of writing before she can even recall. She prefers the intricacies of creative writing over informative essays, even though she writes more in her head than on Google Docs. Her writing has a strange affinity towards painting pain in pretty words, pointedly making math references in prose. And even though her library card PIN is long forgotten, reading is her lifeline.
